Visit Canada

If you would like to visit Canada, you will need either to apply for an eTA (from certain countries), or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). You need a specific reason to apply for a visitor visa to Canada. Some examples of valid reasons for visiting Canada include visiting relatives and friends, attending seminars or exhibitions, attending concerts and other public performances, and receiving medical treatment. Some of the common visas we help our clients to obtain are

  • Visitor visa

  • Super visa (for parents and grand parents)

  • Visitor record extension (for inside Canada clients)

  • Temporary resident permit (for inadmissible clients)

Study in Canada

A foreign national who intends to study in Canada need a study permit if the training program duration is more than six months. If the program finishes in less than six months, unless the foreign national is fully vaccinated, there is no need to apply for a study permit from outside of Canada. You can study in Canada if you are enrolled at a designated learning institution (DLI). Some examples of programs that call for a study permit are the following (assuming the duration is more than six months):

  • Elementary and Secondary Schools

  • A bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program at a University

  • A post-secondary certificate or diploma at a private or community college

  • Studying at an elementary or secondary school (at a private, boarding, or public school)

Work in Canada

You usually need a work permit to work in Canada. In some cases, you can work without a permit. There are 2 types of work permits: open work permits and employer-specific work permits. UNIC Immigration has helped our clients to obtain their Work Permits in the following programs
